Cruise Control Failure on XF
I'm having repeated problems with the cruise control on my XF Supercharged. It will repeatedly kick out with different errors
Has anyone had any similar experiences?
- Radar sensor blocked (checked and cleaned the front sensors - didn't help).
- Driver Intervene.
Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Cruide will cut out whenever the DSC is active
This is a safety feature. You may not be aware of any wheelspin but if the DSC detects any at all then it cuts out the cruise. If you ever use cruise in winter (bad idea BTW) you would fully understand why this feature is included.
This may not be your issue but it is worth being particularly observant whenever the cruise kicks out and see if you can feel any wheelspin at all.
If you really are from Calgary as your name suggests then this is your answer if you have tried to use cruise at all recently. I am from Calgary and I stop using cruise control when the roads get cold. It isn't safe to use cruise in winter conditions.

I finally spoke to someone at the dealer who had taken the time to research this subject and could give me an informed answer.
Apparently, the cruise setting needs to be re-callibrated when the wheel sizes change (makes sense). I suspect mine was never callibrated correctly and so the CC kept kicking out in otherwise normal conditions. She also noted that the cruise should not work below -5C.
Thanks to the folks who responded.

Cruise on my car works down to at least minus 12C (it didn't get any colder than that when I tried it). I doubt that it is temperature sensor connected. It certainly is unwise to use cruise control in freezing weather if there is any risk of ice at all. Similar considerations apply to using cruise in rainy weather.
