Default Difference between 2015 XF-R and XF 5.0 Supercharged

I am in the market for XF-R, but found a well kept 2015 XF 5.0 supecharged for sale locally.
I am new to jaguar's and wanted to know what are the differences between a XFR and XF 5.0 supercharged besides the power and body kit.

Any difference in the suspension, brakes, or steering?

None that I am aware of, but then again we only ever got the XFR and never the "plain" SC here in Oz.

For my model year (2013) the differences are all cosmetic (minus the tune as said above). And for about $20,000 less “retail”.

Different front bumper, rear under bumper insert, R badging on steering wheel/seats/dash/grill/boot.

The R also came with more “standard” options but you could easliy get same options added to the 5.0sc depending on how it was ordered.

My 2013 came with the updated seats, leather headliner, 800+ watt radio, rear blind, adaptive headlights, and a few others, so it is basically an R without 30hp.

But with a ETG tune, I now have much more than an R-S

RS adds this (2013-2015). If you get a chance to drive an R vs a 5.0SC back-to-back I think the decision will be pretty easy

Did you mean test an R-S back to back with a S/C? When I bought my 2012 S/C I also tested the same year XFR No discernable difference I could detect other than looks.

Not in the North American models at least. The adjustable suspension and brakes are identical in the XFR and XF Supercharged. It is only in the hard to find XFR-S that this changes.

Nope, not the US models. Same suspension, brakes, driveline, etc. The fenders (bumpers) and side sills change. different style (same size) wheels and badging, seats in the XFR are the 18 way sports seats but can be optioned on the S/C along with the big stereo, headliner, rear blind, etc.

No. I said "R vs 5.0SC". Very easy to tell them apart in power.

I have the SC and what made me get it was my bosses XFR. He now has an F-Type R but i actually ran faster then him in my SC then he did in his XFR. And based on your posted time of 12.3 and my best time in stock form of 12.6, then that means there there would be no way for your body to tell the difference. Its all mental if you "think" you can

There is some evidence that the 495 PS SC motor is the exact same tune as the 510 PS R motor and could really be 510 PS. Apparently the evidence is in the tune file which Cambo reckons is exactly the same.
If so, why did Jaguar under-state the power output of the SC?
My guess is to help justify the (much) greater asking price of the R.

I can say from experience that there is little difference between the two until 3rd gear. My friend with an SC and I with my XFR raced before I got my tune. I started walking him in 3rd gear about half a car length per gear (we went to 4th).

Does make you wonder if the torque management in the tranny controller exists though
