Default Differences between 2012 and 2014 brake set?

Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 2012 XF and 2014 XF brakes

Are there differences between the 2014 Premium Luxury, R-Sport, Portfolio models versus the 2012 Base XF, Portfolio, Supercharged?

Are the discs and calipers the same?

The V8 SC model discs are much bigger than the V6 and I4 cars and even bigger than the non-SC V8 models.

My 2010 non-sc 5.0 brakes were much smaller than the 2013 SC 5.0 (front and rear).

What car are you attempting to put discs/pads on?

The best way is to take and measure the discs on your car and post up here (in millimeters).

No, I am trying to see if my Aquilla wheels somehow rubbing against the calipers. I haven't taken the time to take the wheels off yet as it is too cold outside. The 2014's support the 19" Aquilla wheels from their brochure which I bought and put on my 2012 and they seemed to work fine and have about an inch of clearance...I'll have to measure to make sure. The offset of the wheels were the same as my Caravela's which were stock. I will have to measure the depths of each wheel to see if they are different and that may be the cause. I haven't gone to the mechanic as of yet to see if the grinding sound is the hub bearing or whether it is the brake rotor rubbing. I didn't feel any damage to the inside, but one time I did see the DSC light come on.

if your model is fitted with the 380mm brakes they will not fit. As said above, if you are unsure as to the size of your brakes then measure them.

Nevermind, now i see what your asking. Word it better next time. It is doubtful it is the wheel rubbing against your brakes. If it was that close you would not have been able to tighten them down successfully without creating a whole load of other problems. If your hearing a grinding noise and its rotational or speed related then I would say it is worn down pads or a bearing. Usually a bearing will get even louder while turning a corner where pads generally will not
