Question Doing a muffler delete !!

Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has tried cutting off the mufflers and just taking pipes to the tail pipes. Im only 18 and don't mind loudsound from a jag. My only concern is if it sounds good. Any suggestions are welcome if anyone hassound clips that would be helpful.
Thanks

A little advise. At 18, you'll be attracting enough attention from the cops no matter what you drive. Add a Jag, even more attention. Remove the mufflers, and you'll be lucky to make it to the end of the block.

I removed the rear mufflers off my STR and people still said it was too quiet.

I agree with Glen. you are attracting enough attention just being 18, and I'm pretty sure you drive your car like an 18 year old. Making it loud will only get you pulled over faster. But on another note, if you are dead set on making it loud, do it the right way and buy an exhaust system. If you want to rice a car out, do that with POS Japanese car you bought for $2000.

Forget about the attention, it's going to sound like a chevy pick up truck. Not exotic at all.

I would suggest working with a muffler shop that will make the straight pipes with the option of adding mufflers if you don't like it. Would also recommend taking out both center resonators and adding an x-pipe to smooth out the sound.

I understand being 18 and having a jag gets me attention I agree it turns heads in my high school. I dont really change my lifestyle based on what people say or assume about me. Doing the muffler delete I just wanna see how it would sound before my MINA comes in and if anyones done it. I went to many shops that told me jaguar has one big resonator removing that makes it sound like a lawnmower and it drones.Thats the reason for me to not fiddle with x pipe and everything

Did you just cut off the rear exhaust and weld tail pipes ? Are the cats and resonator still there ??

Does anyone know if removing the mufflers alone makes the car loud or does the resonator or cats have to go as well to make a poping sound on revs ??

Doing either one of those things will make the car louder.

My car pops / crackles when dropping from upper RPM with just an axleback exhaust.

Yes cats and resonators are still on it. When I went out to the Texas Mile I had that done and all the guys out there told me I need to put an exhaust on it as it was too quiet.

No issues at all with x-pipe. Smoothed out the sound and took away most of the decel popping. Can't see how it would affect warranty.

Do you have a video clip?
Has anyone achieved an exotic sound from these cars. Sort of like a high pitched trumpet exhaust note.
What do you guys suggest a coupe with resonator or cats delete? Or just an x pipe?
