Dropping preset radio stations

Sat. Radio losing presets= Bad Sat. Radio Module
I had the same problem on my 2010 XF Premium Luxury with the B&W sound system. It would loose the Satellite presets and lockout programing with a parental control. Took it back three times. At first they suspected a low voltage issue, but after three times they ordered a new Radio Module or the component of the system that the Sat Radio Tuner resides. Replaced the radio module and it worked perfectly.

I am not sure what is happening with mine. If it is user misunderstanding (me) or a problem with software. I now can togggle to FMA, FM1, FM2, and AMA? When I tried to store a station it reverts to the lowest FM set station and doesn't store the station on the touch screen stored stations. I was able to get FM2 to come up. All the presets are the same station. I tried storing on FM2 and it won't store.
What is FMA? Which stations display on the touchscreen? Does it store more than the touch screen can display? If storage capacity is reached then what?
Still sounds like I may need a reprogram?

If you have a 2011 XF, you should have FM1 FM2 and AM. Each band should have an 'Autostore' button at the RH side of the screen.
If you had a 2012, the screens and selections should be more like the XJ. Once you select the audio system, there should be a plus sign just to the right of the 'Radio' button on the screen. Touching the plus sign will give a screen with buttons for FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2 and AMA. Pressing and holding AMA for a few seconds should make it search and store the six strongest AM stations. There is no longer any autostore for the FM bands.

Once you press autostore the only thing available is FMA and AMA until you cycle back and forth out of the audio function. In FM1/2 or AM, you can load stations individually, which I think works much better. Start with a list of stations you would like programmed in-hand. In FM 1 press and hold the scan button for at least 2 seconds. This will allow you to manually step through the frequencies vs. automatically scanning to the next station. Step to the first station you want to save. I recommend beginning with the lowest frequency. Press and hold the station preset number until the new station is loaded. Using the scan function (still in step mode) step to the next frequency you want to save. Repeat the preset sequence described above. Repeat until all presets are filled. Press the AM/FM button on the audio menu to move to FM2 and repeat the process. Same again for AM. Now you're done.

Ok forgive me for bringing this thread back. But on my 2010 XKR I select and save presets for theSatellite radio. They stay in the preset selection for some time, then most, not all vanish. I am not sure that there was a solution for this in the above thread other than bring it to the dealer, or save in the FM presets. Did I miss something? Any help/clarification is much appreciated because this is frustrating the hell out of me.
Thanks all!
