Fair Purchase Price-'13 XF
Hi All,
Just joined the Forum and looking forward to being a frequent user.
My wife and I will be purchasing a '13 XF 2.0 with Premium & Convenience Packages on Wednesday.
The dealer found the car at the dock and it was shipped to them.
I noticed on KBB.Com the fair purchase price was just at/or below invoice. I mentioned this to the sales manager during our test drive and he agreed to sell it at invoice.
Now I'm thinking I should have let him make the first offer and work down from there.
Any thoughts?

Just bought a new 2013 XF 3.0
Wanted the charcoal interior and the first dealer did not have on in stock. Did not care to much about the exterior color, just nor red. Started shopping around the looking for a color combo/option package I wanted and could afford.
Went through 4 dealers, found one over the internet. The dealer wanted to be aggressive in the deal. They went 10k below sticker. Had to travel a hundred miles to make the deal.
Car dealers, if they have the incentives (i.e. to much inventory, factory rebates, etc), will work with you.
Now just as easily, ones that are not motivated to move inventory - will not work (i.e. discounts) with you.
