Default Finally got mine!

Been looking on this forum, as well as the UK one, for over a year. Reseaching, admiring other XF's, and generally enjoying the conversations(debates) on here. For the last three months, I have been scouring the Internet to find myself my own, knowing that I wasn't gonna pay for a brand new one. I did that once with a G35 and swore never to do it again. So finally after all these months, I found it in Florida(Shout out to Alpine Jaguar), I might add as I'm from DFW where there are three dealerships but they all have something stuck up their a**es. 2012 XF Portfolio, Stratus Gray(beautiful color), ivory interior( it's the business with the blue lighting at night!). Sticker price $61375 but sold to me for $50,900 with only 282 miles on it! They did take the 19' rims off and put some 18's on but that was not a concern as I already plan on putting on some 20' Lexani's come next week. Anyway gotta go. Getting back on the road heading back to D-Town now! Had to stop in New Orleans on the way back. This has been one LONG drive. But I think it was worth it! Pics are coming soon!

Dont rush too much to replace the 18" rims. 20" will make the ride much harsher, and probably also wear out the suspension bushes front and rear far earlier than normal.

Yea, I hear people say that all the time but quite frankly it doesn't bother me as much. I've had 20s on the last two cars(Infinitis G35 and M35) and it didn't bother me once. My fiancée has 21s on her 750i and it doesn't bother neither of us either. I guess it does affect some people though. Plus I drive my truck 90% of the time. This will be my weekend toy!

Appreciate that Rum! I really feel I got a good deal. Over $10000 off for 282 miles?! I'm loving that! If you are anything like me then you will find one. It just takes patience. Especially if you are willing to travel!

Congrats, 20s wheel should compromise your riding quality . I don't know if they also wear out suspension parts but this sounds highly possible

I like the look of the 20 inch tires on my SC. I expect a lesser diameter wheel will improve the ride, but I just look for the smooth roads. Shouldn't be as difficult in Texas as in New York to find them. You need to show up the financee's car!

Oh we have some bad roads down here as well. I try to take a different route when I know I'm coming up on one! As for the fiancé's car, I started to go 22's so I could one up her because she has 21's, but decided on these rims! I saw them on a S-Type and looked them up. 22's wouldn't fit my car with these particular Lexani's and other rims were a little out of budget. But I'm happy with these and if I go by what my kids think, my car has "SWAG"! Lol! They jump in my car now, when it was the other way around when I was driving the M35!
