Exclamation Finally joined the club. New 2013 XFR is onboard!

Well folks patience pays off. I joined the forums in 2012 and I did some lurking and patiently waited for what I wanted to appear. Well Tuesday it did. My CarGurus searchbot yielded an email that an XF matching my specs was available near me.

Called the dealer, a really good one as a matter of fact and discussed the car and discount potential, condition, etc. I liked what I heard so I went to check it out on Thursday. Sure enough I found an immaculate 2013 XFR with only 5780 miles. As close to new as you could expect a slightly used car to be. The mats were still in plastic and in the trunk.

I negotiated my deal along with getting max value for my trade and today I picked it up. I am in love. The car is truly exceptional in every way. Looks, luxury, brutal performance, everything in one amazing package. For those interested in every detail, I didn't buy from a Jag dealer. My experience with Atlanta area Jag dealers was that when they did have an XFR it was not well priced, even when they weren't CPO. I got it at Select Luxury Cars in Marietta on Cobb Parkway. Good outfit and Mike Goodall was a good guy to work with. The whole team was great! Glad I found them.

Tomorrow it will get a "spa" treatment even though the dealer did a pretty decent job of prepping the car. But its not quite perfect for my OCD personality. LOL!

So its a 2013 XFR, Ultimate Black metallic, warm charcoal interior, dark mesh with piano black trim, Jet headliner, red calipers, trunk liner.

That's it for now. Pictures to come soon. Going out to garage to stare a bit more!

Cheers all!

Congrats on the new toy! I just got an XF (wish I got an R) and also came home and detailed it after the dealer did! OCD is beautiful thing!

I don't blame you...I did the same thing when I brought mine home..I even took the wheels off and washed the backside of the rims and waxed them and then put anti-seize compound on the hubs...I found a lot of half-hearted prepping from the dealership I bought mine from...

I then went over every piece of rubber and vinyl and inside the engine bay, including the dash and upper door bolster trim with this...

Congrats on the purchase. Sounds like you did your homework and got a very nice XFR. I just wish I'd have your patience when it comes to searching and waiting for the right purchase. I'm far more impulsive, if it occurs to me that I want a particular model car, same day or, maybe next, I will buy it.

Congrats on the purchase.. I can relate to your experience, This is month 3 with my 2013 and I'm loving it. The only difference is that I wasn't in the market to buy new at the time but was just in for a oil change with my supercharged XF. The sales guy made me a offer a couldn't turn down.. Good luck and many, many, miles.

That is an Awesome car!!!

I ordinarily don't like BLACK because it's a bugger to keep looking clean...But this one of yours would be the exception...Enjoy!

Black is the hardest to keep clean but looks best when clean. Mine is garaged and gets wiped down with a whammy daily. I did the same thing with my Lexus SC for 12 years.

One week of ownership now. I am loving this car. It is an amazing vehicle. Only complaint is the inability to permanently turn off stop/start feature. I hate that. It should stay off when I use the switch. Otherwise its perfect so far. I don't miss my Vette at all.

The whole stop/start feature is idiotic I think on a luxury vehicles. Especially one 5 liter, 8 piston equipped, supercharged, Jaguar that puts out 510hp.
