Default Which fuse for the OBD II reader port?

Hi folks, I have a 2014 XF 3.0SC AWD. My ODB II reader port in the car always returns "No link" when I try to use my scanner, and since my scanner works in my wife's car I figure it's a problem with mine. I suspect a fuse is blown but I don't know which one it might be and the fuse diagrams are unclear. Does anyone know for sure?

This page says F33 in the passenger compartment fuse box is for the "diagnostic connector," would that be it?

EDIT: it just occurred to me I might be using my reader incorrectly. Should I turn the ignition on (but not have the car running) before trying to pull a code?
