Default gas mileage

2013 jaguar xf 3.0 supercharged awd. what is average gas mileage?

I recently had all my fuel injectors replaced, as well as spark plugs replaced. I believe previously I was averaging 25-26 mpg. it appears now I'm averaging 21.2-22.7 mpg. all figures are averages on highway and city driving combined.

This has the gas mileage for most XF but only the official for the supercharged 3.0 and most are between 75% and 85% of the official mpg

Imperial gallons, perhaps, 'cuz I get no where near that mileage (and do the Brits still officially measure road distances in miles, or is it just a legacy practice)?

Last time I was over there they are still in miles, or for Jaguar owners (S)miles

Various day-to-day things are still in historic (dare I say "imperial"?) units but otherwise metric. Yes roads are still in miles and road signs in MPH.

Scientific things are (all? very nearly all?) metric, such as space vehicles. (Cue the problems which have occurred when others did not use metric!)

Just to be clear though a US mpg figure is quite different from a UK mpg figure

A gallon in the US is 3.7 liters and in the UK it's 4.5 liters. So 27mpg in the UK is about 23mpg in the US (check the numbers but it's something in that range)

Yes, and wouldn't it be funny if they also had an "imperial" mile...

I suppose we do.

We call it a mile, a bit like we call a gallon a gallon or an inch an inch.

Round here we also call a spade a spade. Oh - that's a shovel if you prefer.

(We don't use the word "Imperial" much. Maybe for mint imperials, though.)

mileage sucks in both US and UK figures. the car is really heavy and sucks up a good bit of gas. it also doesnt help that the tank is tiny
