Glossy Vinyling the roof, couple questions regarding our roof and shark fin
Hi guys,
I am Vinyling the roof with 3M glossy black vinyl. 6x4 feet roll
Anyway,
Inquiring about the shark fin, on many cars they are held down with 3M tape, it appears that way from pressing on it but I called the dealer and he said it was held on with screws?
Also, the XF (my car is an 09 S/C) has the roof rails, does anyone know if these are 3Med down, or clip in? I didn't see any clips but not sure if you are suppose to.
Has anyone done this yet? Saw an XJ L in Porcelain White with the roof done in black. Looked amazing.
Thanks,
Mike

Its very popular to do, and on white definitely looks the best. For future reference here is what the deal is with doing this:
straight from the other gentleman who has done it (guy from the pic above)
"
Hi Mike, the shark fin is screwed on access is from inside the car via the rear interior light, gutters(the rails on the side of the roof) are just clipped in and can be just unclipped, your chosen wrap company will be use to these and know how 'much' force to use, each time i have done these sort of things they come out just before your sure they're going to break lol
Hope it goes well, and lets see it once done.."
