Have you got a NAV screen?..You can find the setting to disable through a few menu steps.

I am away from the car by about 150 mile but, yes, got a NAV screen. I tried to find that setting before to no avail.

I'm not with mine either right now..tonight I'll see if I can narrow it down for you and report back..Unless Zap beats me to it, since I butted in on your question to him, which is fine.

Push Climate from the main menu
Then push the black Settings button
Push Always Open under Vent Rotation

Very easy. Just have to find the settings button under Climate first.

Took me just a few seconds to put the car in accessory to check so no worries.
