Default Good source for replacement center speaker Grill?

Silly me pressed down too hard on the dashboard center speaker grill while wiping it down and (I'm assuming because it has been exposed to the sun a long time) it "shattered" into about a dozen little pieces. I managed to retrieve them all and superglue it back together so there is something at least covering the speaker, but it's U-G-L-Y. Is there a good supplier for a replacement (used or salvage is fine)? Color is truffle brown.

Thanks!

Is your dash wrinkling also? Take it to the dealership, they should replace your dash for free. They replaced mine.

Yes, it's slightly warped, but they will not replace it under the cpo warranty.

They replaced my dash on my previous 2010 supercharged, no reason they shouldn't on yours.

If the car is outside the normal warranty period, CPO or not, the dealer will not cover trim/dash items.

My center speaker grill is also cracking. My dash is warping and some of the stitching is tearing apart as well but I can live with that since it's not that noticeable yet. I'd like to know if you found a center speaker grill though because mine is about to break into a hundred pieces as well.

Since they are exposed to the sun so much I would get a new one from the dealer. Any used ones are most likely to be brittle as well.

I wouldn't want a used one. I'd personally want an aftermarket one. Not trying to pay dealer prices.

Aftermarket and Jaguar don't go together.
How many speaker grilles do you think they could sell?

Not anywhere near enough to make money. The only source is Jaguar.

One good thing I have found out about Jaguar is they do keep parts availablebetter than a lot of cars.

So you can at least get one but it might be expensive too!

My car had no warranty on it at all and Jaguar covered it. That wasn't even the reason I brought it in, they saw the wrinkles and the cracked speaker cover and said they were going to replace the dash under their warranty. So there should've been a service bulletin or something, or maybe some dealerships take care of their customers better than others.

I don't think the Austin Jaguar dealership is going to do me any favors. I asked the service advisor about it and he said he could order the dash and it would be about 3k if i'm not mistaken.

then bring it down here to San Antonio. Like I said, they hooked me up. At the very least, you will know if you need to purchase a new one or not.

I got mine here. A bit cheaper than the dealership.

Just ordered, thanks for pointing out the link. Dealer wanted $130 for the part.

Default How to remove centre speaker Cover

Hi guys,

Car wash guys damaged the centre speaker on my 09 XF while wiping the dash down.

They reimbursed me for the part and I purchased it from Jag - any tips on removing the speaker grill/cover? Does it just pop out? Any advice on tools I should use to pry it out?

Thanks!

Call Jag USA and complain... they worked with me and I paid $850 or thereabouts... can't remember if I paid for the part or the labor...
