Grey smoke from under the engine cover

I have a 59 plate Jaguar XF. I have a small but continuous flow of grey smoke coming from under the large plastic engine cover at the rear near the bulkhead. The smoke does not smell. If you look at the engine cover it would be at about 1 o'clock at the back. Any ideas?

Hi HarryCobeans,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
I have moved your post from the forum for the X308 to the forum for the X250, which is the Jaguar factory project code for the XF. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars.
For those of us in regions that do not date vehicles by plate number, it will help if you will post the year, model and engine details of your Jaguar. It is most helpful to add this info to your signature line (in your Control Panel) so others don't have to ask or refer back to earlier posts.
Also, please visit the New Members Area - Intro a MUST and post an introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.
Cheers,
Don

Odorless smoke ? thats new . maybe its steam from A/C drain on to exhaust ?
i've seen that before .
or possibly a cracked EGR pipe blowing something up there . But you should have at least a MIL and a code for that . so i doubt that .
start by checking the fluid levels , to make sure nothings gone missing and remove the cosmetic cover and have a look
at the problem .
