Default Has anyone had any success selling their Jag on the forum?

So, I'm fairly certain that I'm going to sell my XFR, and I wanted to see if anybody has had any luck selling their car through the classified section of the forum. Is it worth posting the car to the classifieds, or should I look elsewhere?

It doesn't cost you anything to post an ad in the classifieds here, so why not give it a try?

An XJ was sold via the classifieds just this week.

I agree, I don't think I'd depend on the forum as my only ad but it certainly can't harm.

+1 on the comments you've received.

Posting on the forum classifieds can certainly be a good starting point, especially if you're a long term member, with some history here.

I would also pursue other advertising avenues of course.....

As mentioned by Cambo, there was a sale of acar just last week in the classifieds, so yes they do work.

What an unusual question!

And what an excellent answer.

It sounds like a straight forward question to me and although I have to agree with the moderators () that FREE is good and no harm can come from it, the core question remains unanswered.

Isn't that an answer? I'm sure if you want to trawl through the section you could gather some more data.

Well I have a 2005 STR and am considering a XFR as a replacement and I look at least every week for any XFR's for sale.

When I was updating the guidance thread, I posted my XK8 in the Classifieds to do screen shots. Even though it was marked NOT FOR SALE, it still got 484 views and 2 offers!

Put your question the other way round. If you were looking for a Jaguar would you prefer to buy from an unknown vendor or a forum member? I know which I'd choose.

Good points guys. When I get a free moment, I'll snap a few pictures and see what turns up. Thanks!

If I followed the last few posts correctly, Rakka has an XFR he wants to sell.
tbird6 is looking to buy an XFR

I see the makings of a deal here...

Well spotted.

Don't forget your 10% brokerage commission if a deal goes through.

Yes, that didn't go without notice

I'm busy with work until the middle of next week, so I'll get organized and post something then.
