Default Heading to the track tomorrow...

Heading to the 1/4 mile track tomorrow with my 2010 XFR. It is essentially stock other than a Eurocharged tune and pulley. I will be running normal street tires. Any one want to venture a guess of my times and see how close they will be? I have a time in my head that I am aiming for but I'll jinx it if I type it out. lol

Should be similar to my times I'm sure! Low twelves with a trap between 117 and 119 I think!

12.36 @117.69. Let's play closest without going under!

So some back story. I have been to the track once before with the car. It went 12.3@114.xMPH but it was 95 degrees and 100% humidity.

Conditions today were sunny and 65 degrees so they were perfect. My goal was to dip into the 11s on crappy street tires. Ran a 12.05@117.4MPH and then backed it up with an 11.90@117.8MPH then called in quits. I'm very happy with the results.

Nice work getting to the 11's! What were your 60' times? Can you post the timeslips?

What was your launch technique? Any tire pressure changes?

My 60 foot was 1.74

I put my front tires up to 40psi and the rears down to 28psi.

Left foot on the brakes and right foot on the gas every so slightly in order to just start to bring the revs up. Didn't stall up the converter, just enough to start to bring the revs up a tiny bit. Light turns green and then very briskly put the foot to the ground. Sure I can post the slip. Give me a second...

I'm impressed. 11.90 launching off the green. That's awesome! As Bigg Will mentioned launching off that last yellow really helps. Glad everything stayed together. Great looking ride....

Thanks everyone!!

Although for simplicity I said go on the green I actually go on th elast yellow. But there seems to be some confusion though. Reaction time has no impact on 1/4mile time. I can sit at the light for 3 minutes after it tuns green and still run an 11 second pass. The elapsed time (E.T.) only starts counting once you break the starting line beam. I was more concerned with getting a good launch to get a good 1/4mile time rather than beating the buy next to me so I wasn't concentrating on reaction times.

You know it's going to be next to impossible for me not to go if you set it up, even though I promised myself not to.

That was an awesome run. I'd be smiling the whole way home. Pretty insane 60' times for such a heavy car.

I always thought that too, but on my last trip to the strip with my SSR, I red-lighted every time, even after I waited until after the last yellow lit. I did have the revs up with the brake on - maybe it's jumping off the line better than I thought!

I found the page and looks like I would have the fastest XFR on the list. That's pretty cool.

With the tune, are you seeing better MPH when driving normally than stock?
