You get used to the lines. We have a landrover and jag with them. Such a NICE option! Especially living in Wisconsin as we do always was an issue stating a freezing cold car and having to blow ice cold
"Defrost" air on windshield... Now just push a button and poof! No more ice/snow. Awesome for defogging as well

So if I count on around $1000 including labor and tax, I should be good.
As far as the wire elements, I rarely drive it as its the wife's car, I cant see them unless I particularly look for them. The car sits outside at her office all day and in this Chicago winter she loves having that option. It's a cool car altogether.
at least I can have a winter "Jag" fix every now and then until my XK comes out of storage.
