Default Help with audio upgrade

Hi, I have a 2014 XF R-Sport 2.2d and it has 3speakers in each front door and 2 speakers in each rear door. I do not have a factory sub.

I have just bought a JL audio mono amp and 12" sub in box to add the low notes.

My question is, does anyone have the wiring diagram for the factory amp in the boot?

I need to work out which wire is which so I can feed the amp. Do the three door speakers each have a separate feed from the amp or is one pair of wires (+ and -) fed to the door and split to the three speakers? Likewise is this the case for the 2 way rears?

Thanks in advance

Just clarifying... You don't have a subwoofer currently under the spare tire?

Man, that sucks. How easy would it be to keep it factory as opposed to after market?

I still can't quite get my head around a 2.2L 160BHP 4-pot diesel being called XF R-sport though, seems like an oxymoron.

I was amazed when I saw a UK spec X-type for the first time many years ago. It was 2.x diesel front-wheel-drive with cloth seats. Jaguar really cuts a lot of stuff out of the UK spec cars, apart from the price....

You can certainly retrofit the factory subwoofer and uprated "Meridian" amp to these cars, a couple of guys here on the forum have done it. The only sticking point is that some programming is needed and a dealer can't/won't do it for you. But it is possible.

Have a look here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...trofit-147971/

Hi, thanks for this... I did try the meridian at the dealer and wasn't that impressed for the money. My plan is to add the jl sub and amp to the car using the audio control lcq-1. I will feed it the front tweet, mid and woofer channels so the unit will sum them together. I can also eq it to my taste. I will then add a 4 channel amp in the future and change the door speakers. This should give me the sound I am looking for.

Better to found used Meridian amp. and to make the cabin noise-isolation.

The factory type amp can't be removed from entreatment system, it part of MOST ring system

Thanks... The factory amp will not be removed.. It will be used to feed high level inputs into the audiocontrol lcq-1.

I did search for the amp part number but can't find it? I wonder if it is a different part number in the uk?

For you better to find it on eBay, check on my thread there you can found the photo with manufacturer part number, using this part number you easier find it on eBay. The amps are the same for all markets.
If you want to install Meridian amp, you must make some changes in CCF file

Ah ok, I found a 'BF' amp for £95.

I'd have to price up all the extra speakers though and find someone with cable and software
