Default Help regarding rear brake pad change

Hi all, first post here I have a Jag XF 2.2 197bhp 2015 and I need to change the rear brake pads for the first time. Is following Edobernig post in the Hows To's the correct thread to follow?
Many Thanks

Welcome to the Forums! I don’t know if the facelift version is different to that of the pre 2012 models, but as they go Edobernigs post applies (mostly) also to smaller engines, not just the SC and R models. I recently did a brake job all round on a 2.7 diesel and it was very similar. On one part I did disagree, though, which is removing the brake fluid reservoir cap. I have the jag workshop manual for pre-facelift cars and it doesn’t list that process at all, nor did I notice any need for it.

Be careful with the anti-rattle springs. They bend easily when pulling off. Bleeding the brakes also isn’t necessary if the brake pedal doesn’t feel squishy after the job. If you plan on working on your car a lot, I suggest getting a workshop manual for it.
