Angry HELP ! Sportsbrake rescue required.....

My 2013 XF Sportsbrake has been sat gathering dust on & off for the last three months. Random electrical faults from Start-stop not working through 'Engine system Fault', 'DSC inoperative', 'Emergency Brake assist not available' currently Steering column lock not released.
I am currently being told there have been some historic dabblings around the what has been described as the central power distribution module ( evidence of soldering and additional wires attached). Has had both batteries replaced and the gearchange module but no improvement
Love the car have had it for about 18 months and the first 15 months no problems in 10K miles. It is now sat awaiting further investigation when the current repairer gets chance. In the mean time I have no car !
Anyone have any suggestions of repair people / shops, preferably in the midlands, who they can recommend and may have expertise in this type of issue?
My first non Austin / Rover car in 50 years of motoring ( thought I would at least buy something made in Birmingham, especially as I worked on the launch of Sportsbrake) but so far not a great experience !
