Help!!!!! xf heater hose
2009 xf supercharged 4.2
I have a small pinhole leak in what I believe is my heater hose return.
It is a hose attached to one of the lower thermostat connector. It seams to run under the intake manifold.
Looks like you have to remove the intake manifold to replace it.
I'm stuck 1200 miles away from home, with no tools. There is no way I can replace this hose, by the time I need to return home to my family.
I'm thinking I can remove the heater system, from the coolant system.
#1 remove the end of the leaking hose off of the thermostat & place a rubber cap on the thermostat outlet.
#2 remove and cap the heater supply fitting
#3 disconnect / unplug the electrical heater pump
This should allow me to drive home ( with no heat)
Where is the Heater supply connector located?
Any help is needed and appreciated
