Default Hi all just one silly question,

This is my very first Jaguar used and under warranty. I have had my engine warning light on for 10 days, however today when I started it the warning light was off,, and remand off for the whole journey. I have it booked in at the dealers on Wednesday, If the amber warning light stays off, should I keep the appointment or ring and cancel. This has never happens to me in all my years of driving.

Keep your appointment! The code should be stored even if the light went off.

Many thanks for your reply Bigg Will. This makes sense, I did not think about the code being stored. I will keep the appointment.

Once again Thanks

I agree with "Big Will", however the source of your CEL could be as basic as a loose gas cap, and it took several "drive cycles" to clear it....

Hi alle

Took the car to the dealers, and found that the fault was the fuel mix sensor needs replacing. As it is under warranty no charger thanks for all the help.
