Default HID D1S help

Hello all, I have a 2009 SC XF that had the passenger low beam go out, D1S model. I replaced it, but it's still not lighting up. There is no indication in the drivers display that my headlight is out, but I don't know if the system notifies you, like it does in the S-type that I used to have. I have tried to check the forum before posting. Is there any known issues with this light setup or other suggestions that you guys may have?

Thanks

Matt

Well, not sure what the problem was, I took the 12v xenon 5DV 009 000 element off the driver side that attaches to the bottom of the headlamp setup and swapped it to the other side and it worked, I then thought that this was the problem and I needed a new element. That is until I put the old passenger side on the driver side headlamp just on a hunch, and it worked....for now.

Sounds like a bad initial connection, although the xenon bulbs are really sensitive. It's important to make sure you don't touch the bulbs, as the contaminants from it can cause early failure.
