Default How to disable dynamic suspension on '11 XFR.

Hi-

I currently have a 2011 XFR and have begun the modify it. Have deleted the catalytic converters, custom exhaust, pulley, tune, etc. however once I installed H&R lowering springs I got a fault code for the suspension. To make a long story short, after going back and forth between the dealer and my personal mechanic Jaguar wants to replace a control module for the suspicion ($1300). What I would like to do is disable this module to remove the fault code, disable the dynamic suspension, allowing me to install coilovers. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure it can be disabled at all, but if it can the only way would be via SDD, which no JLR dealer will agree to do.
Cambo is our resident expert on what can and can't be done with SDD.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to reach out to him to see. And yes I know the dealer will not touch any of the settings, already reached out to them. They shy away from any modifications. Should have seen the looks in the service department when they pulled the car in. I have no problem investing in the SDD software if I'd be able to disable this.

On the older XK, XJ and S-type it was possible to just unplug the Active Damping Control Module to make the CATS errors to go away. On the XF I have not seen anyone post about it working the same way as of yet, I believe this module is buried under the passenger seat on our cars so I didn't try this as of yet for the easier workaround to this problem.

I tried looking in SDD since I also want to disable some other stuff, but it is hard to tell with confidence what steps to take. From reading around it is very easy to screw up the car and anyway I didn't have enough voltage for engineering mode to make any changes. There is also the CCF SoftwareDownload.htm method, but one wrong move can brick the ECU apparently.

I have not come across an SDD guide for adding/removing features, only basic diagnostics. Youtube videos with SDD only come up with how to do the initial software install. It would be good to put together some screenshots to do this since there is a lot of interest on how to upgrade to premium audio etc

Thanks so much for all that information. Hopefully someone will chime in with a more definitive answer regarding what you can and cannot do with the software.
