Default How to identify XF with adaptive cruise control?

I'm in the market for a used XF and I'd love to grab one with adaptive cruise control.

Many of the ads I see do not include a comprehensive list of all options. I'd like to able to identify this feature without bugging every seller.

Is there a way to identify the option quickly in pictures? Perhaps a steering wheel button I can look for?

Thanks in advance!

Why do you want adaptive cruise control? Almost all reviews state that it's the option to avoid.

I think it's bloody marvellous!
Took me round the Paris Péripherique in a RHD car I'd just bought.
Look at 4.34 in the attached for the controls, this is for an XK but I'm sure yours will be the same.

It is easy to spot. on the front bumper lower grille offset to the driver side ther is a lil black panel that says Jaguar ACC on it. Very easy to spot.
Or on the steering wheel you will see no empty spot on the right side. There is a thumb wheel there for the Adpt cruise. I used mine and it was fun for a few times and now I just dont find it that uisefull. I am located in NJ that is probably why.

Why so? I'm curious - here in Australia, it's a great idea.

Interesting; the review I read said it worked great. I'll have to do some more research.

All the reviews I have read about ACC, and all the people I have spoken to who have it, have described the same pros and cons. They say it works great, except when you pull out to pass someone, or when you're passing someone on a curve. In both of those instances, the ACC frequently gets a "false positive" and thinks you're getting too close to the other car, and it slams on the breaks! So, to compensate for that, you have to turn it off before you do either of those maneuvers.

I didn't order it on my car, because if I have to turn it off, then that defeats of whole purpose of having it.

All ACCs have problems identifying vehicles when on curved roads: it's not peculiar to Jaguar. However, surely you'd WANT to turn off ACC if you're about to overtake??

But I would imagine that it's better suited to autobahns, or in particular roads with dual lanes.

I like and use all the functions, ACC, ASL, Forward Alert, blind spot. Around town I use ASL a lot. Caution though do not turn ASL off with your foot still down on accelerator (esp in a XFR)
