Default How key works

Hi folks, I am having a second hey programmed and need to know the following:

The aluminum key seems to be solid with no chips or anything inside. As long as the remote is programmed will this metal key start the engine?

I ask this because I don't want to have them send the aluminum key to the UK, I can have the key cut locally for 50U$ instead of 250U$!

The key is only for unlocking the driver door or trunk if the remote does not work or the vehicle battery is dead. Only the remote is employed to start the engine.

You will hunt in vain for a keyhole inside the car into which one might insert an actual key.

Got it! I had the remote done only, guess thats a smart move. Cutting the key costs like 450$
