Is there a way of fitting a simple cutoff switch to a 2010 XF so it cannot be started if accessed with the correct key

Maybe tap into the wires from the brake pedal switch. If the switch doesn't have a feed the car won't start.

That is useful thanks for your reply as did not realise the switch needed power before the car would start.
