Looks fantastic, good to see Jag venture into a smaller vehicle segment. Love the styling...front may be a bit busy but overall the styling is excellent and love the muscular look of the sides. I hate analogies on a design like this but there's some Z8 in the rear.

Oddly...the only thing that looks out of place is the steering wheel...doens't seem right.

Yeah, I like it enough to consider one. I agree it is a bit too fussy - like an XKR-S - but it works overall. Also agree about the steering wheel. I love those seats - no doubt everyone on here would moan about them though!

I like it. Although I would have preferred the Jaguar signature rotary shifter.

now if we could get it with 3.0L Diesel, with twice the torque as gasser.

and 30% better MPG , then it would be VERY special!!

I like the coupe but not the spider. I do not like the stick shift, a big step backwards IMHO.

Sad to say I am considering the new Subaru BRZ instead. Speed enforcement is getting boneheaded stupid where I live and fast cars are on their way out.

Jaguar did an outstanding job it with. Very good looking car.
The only thing i am not sure of is the emblem on the trunk. They could have done a little better job with that.

And, yea what's up with the bmw shifter??

Totally in love!

Ian Callum did a great job with the design and can't wait to see them on the street in Australia!

Manual gearbox eliminates the shifter objection. Normally aspirated V6 with 6 or 7 spd manual box would be a great combo. Or wait for the baby sedan with awd.....

Looks like the steering wheel's center may be several centimeters above the axis of rotation. I think I would hate that. Hope I'm wrong. If I'm right you won't be able to let the wheel slip through your hands as you accelerate out of a turn without moving them to follow the path of the wheel.

I have a Logitech G27 wheel for racing games, and it has a little offset like that. The one on the F-Type looks way more pronounced.

According to the NYT, pricing starts at $69,875 for the V6 Supercharged, and ranges beyond $92,000 for an F-Type fitted with the V8 Supercharged.

Interesting thing about the shifter is that jag doesn't have the double clutch type transmission at this point...paddles suffice on the ZF transmissions but maybe if a more trick transmission is on the way and a push-pull shifter was in order....

While I am speculating, does anyone want to guess the weight of a boxster scale all aluminum chassis with a supercharged v8?

It is certainly a beautiful car. I traded my Solstice and X-Type to get the XF so seeing this makes me sometimes wish I still had the convertible. Ah, the memories...but then when I mash the gas on the XF and I hear the V8 come to life I remember why I traded.

Beautiful lines.
Agree, that the design is exaggerated a bit in some areas, and could be toned down slightly.
Interior dash is one of these areas.
Prefer rotary shifter.
Not in love with front/side view of headlights.

Looks beautiful in silver and black, and headlights blend well in these colors.
Do not like the red version as much (as with other Jags also).
Looks good with the top up (convertible litmus test).
New Porsche Boxster is beautiful as well - how does it compare - handle, steer, drive?

Overall, very nice design work.
