It does look an awful lot like the XE, I don't think I like it too much, here are some pics I found online

You can see videos on Jaguar's Youtube channel.

And yeah, I'm not too impressed by the white one. Just the lack of chrome around the windows kinda kills the luxury look to me.

The black one in their video looks pretty good though and very similar to the current XF.

wire crossing
design

Lots of neat little bells and whistles, but also a lot of nice styling removed. It looks much more like a rental car now and not a performance vehicle.

People were saying that the XE just looked like the old XF and that it was an old design. This one looks just like the XE which also looks like an old design.

I understand these cars are the volume models and that it is risky to go too far outside the box. But this is just bland, inside and out!

Also, what is with these stupid party tricks. Has anyone actually ever appreciated moving vents on a car?

Yeah I think I prefer my gen and the current generation XF styling. The F-Type tail lights look way better on the F-Type...on this car they kind of look derpy

I have mine turned off, the only time i turn them on is when I am showing the car to someone. Once they see them rotate they always say that was neat and walk away.

They should have used that money to let the pre 2012 owners steam music over bluetooth...

I really like the styling of it. It's too bad that Hyundai and Kia or basically copying that kind of styling. Jaguar sets the standard.

I will know for sure if it is for me when I test drive one.

I'm pretty impressed. I think the front end is awesome and the whole car has a great wide stance. I don't really like the boot profile against the current models, which I always thought was one of the best things about the car.

But overall (and I'm waiting to pass judgment on the interior), very impressive

Most of my passengers do. They also like the lighted door sills.

Having the corporate face seems to be the thing to do now and Jaguar is in the midst of reestablishing itself. I like the styling, to the casual observer it'll be recognizable as a Jaguar. You know the saying, if it's not broke don't fix it, really applies to the Jaguar styling.

I like the exterior, as it's more evolution than revolution, but I think they dropped the ball on the interior. The Tata low $$$$ influence is showing for sure.

As I said earlier I think it will be more telling with warmer interior colors, an all black interior doesn't do much to showcase details.

Front is acceptable. I'm fine with the more upright grill. Rear is an abomination.

Why they would mess with that perfect rear end is beyond me.

Also I don't know why jaguar feels the need to include the words jaguar below the leaper on the boot lid. The leaper is enough.

I like them, and most my passengers get a kick out of them and the rising gear shifter. I particularly like it when they close at shut off as to the clean look.

I'd like to see the three iterations (09, 12 and 16) side by side. The car hasn't radically changed in my view. The sophistication of the detailing is still there. It appears to be more muscular and stately (more XJ like) including the layered interior dash. Less coupe more sedan. Less sporty in some ways. I do like the front headlights. It was a beautifully styled car to start so this was a real challenge. I compare it to the Audi A5/S5 which I seriously considered. The restyling from generation to generation has been subtle as it (A5)is also a beautifully styled car IMHO. For me the real separator is if there is a significant improvement in driving dynamics, particularly body roll. I'd like for it to have the flexibility in settings for steering, throttle the and suspension of the F-type. Maybe in the SC or R? I really like the steering feel in my car, so not sure what to expect with this. Hopefully also a significant improvement in seats and feel of gauges although the 12 was a jump, but mines an '11. If I could get an For type coupe S or R with an Suv for rough weather, I'd likely prefer that over a do it all car. It's just a matter of money.

Agreed, with the Jaguar head and script in the grill emblem only, and back on the side vents.
