Jaguar XF 2012 vs 2013? (3.0 litr)
Hi guys
I'm in the market for a new car and the XF has caught my eye. I test drove one today (2014) and safe to say I was really impressed with what I experienced.
Essentially, my question is the 2013 model worth the extra few 000s over the 2012 model? (Same mileage, both 3.0) Looks wise, they appear almost identical from the outside.
I'm specifically talking about reliability and handy features such as the reverse parking cam. Any information on this would be appreciated.
Cheers

For me it's probably not worth paying more just for a slightly younger car in this case. The facelift was available from 2012 in the UK, so the 2013 and 2012 models are the same. There are different trim levels though, which will give you things like the reversing camera on some models and not on others. I think the lowest standard equipment was on 'Luxury', then 'Premium Luxury', with 'Portfolio' being top. It may well be that you were comparing a 2012 'Luxury' with a 2013 'Premium Luxury' model.
Topix is worth signing up for - put in the VIN and it'll give you a list of which options the car's fitted with (more reliable than autotrader listings), and which ones were missed off:

Finally, if you tried the 3.0 was it the diesel or petrol? If the diesel, I'd recommend trying the 'S' version - more power than the non-S version
