Default Jaguar XF Door alignment

My father-in-law has a 2013 XF that is experiencing a rather interesting door alignment problem. The passenger side front door closes, but with a bit more effort than usual. If you close the door with the usual push the door stays open just slightly. It catches but not completely. If you close it with just a bit more effort, not excessive, it will close properly. The driver's front door closes perfectly. Upon further inspection we notice that the driver's side door gap between the rear of the driver's door and the driver's side passenger door front edge is exactly 5mm from top to bottom. The passenger's side front door rear edge to passenger's side rear door front edge is 7mm at the top and 3mm at the bottom. It appears that the slight tilt of the door alignment is keeping the passenger side door from closing properly. Because, when we leave the passenger side rear door, the passenger side front door will close with the proper amount of effort. It is only when the passenger side rear door is closed that the passenger side front door requires just a bit extra effort to close completely.

The dealer is having great difficulty finding a solution. Any ideas?
