Default Jaguar XF hood leaper

So I been thinking on adding the jaguar leaper on my 2013 xf but I have not been successful on finding one picture online to see how I would look. Anyone outthere that has some they can provide? Any suggestions if it would look good?

You'll get a lot who say there is no place for a leaper on modern Jags.
I disagree. - each to their own.

If you decide to, just make sure you don't put it too far back to make it 'leap up'.
Placement is everything and if it's too far back it looks crap. You'll have to experiment with the newer model obviously because the grille is different.

I decided to get one which just goes on with double sided tape with no drilling required in case I didn't like it. It still has the swivel mechanism in case some kid decides to pull at it.
It works fine- been on for six months and doesn't look like moving.

I wouldn't do it, but if you do, I wouldn't follow the advice given above. Find a modern Jag with a leaper fitted (or Google) and match the angle of the cat that the factory intended. Of those I briefly looked at, the angle of the back of the leaper was slightly above horizontal. The photos provided by the respondent show the leaper at a negative angle from horizontal, which I feel looks very odd. And if keeping the angle correct makes the placement too far back, then it shouldn't be done at all.

All opinion of course, but I believe my approach has merit. Member Philhef has one on the first gen XF. Do a member search to see what his looks like.

I have had at least a handful of people stop and ask me where the leaper is on the XF. In my opinion I don't think it fits with the new body style. I thought I heard somewhere that the dealer would install it as a $1000 option.

To each his own. Do what you want.

I bought my XF with the leaper installed by the previous owner.

Had multiple quotes to get rid of it. Even looked at an XFR hood from a junker.

In my opinion it doesn't look fitting.

I love the Leaper and everything it stands for - just doesn't look right on these newer cars IMO.

Here's a pic of one:

Jaguar XF 5.0 Supercharged V8 XFR 4dr

Anyone know what the deal is to get rid of these? Do you get left with holes in the bonnet?

Depends how it's fitted. Some are simply double sided automotive tape like the 3M stuff that holds on badges and emblems. Others are drilled - in which case it's filler and a respray...
