Now up to 30. If we can get to 40+ by the middle of June, we should have a decent initial result in August. It's certainly doable.

Crunch time.
The last month of surveys before the results are released begins tomorrow.

Posted a result in August indicating a high repair rateand will have an update in November. Additional participants would be VERY helpful. Especially cars produced later in the yearto see if Jaguar has worked out the early bugs.

We'll have an updated result on the 12th.
51 cars signed up so far. Very good, especially for a low-volume model. But more participants would enable us to provide more precise results.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I think I posted a separate thread a couple months ago when I had the initial result didn't want it to get buried in this one. But if I can edit the OPcan't remember if this is possible on this forummaybe I'll add something there.

Thanks for the suggestion. The latest results were posted this morning, and I have added the result for the XF to the OP.
No one else will have a reliability stat for the XF until next summer, or even next fall. Thank you for helping TrueDelta provide this information much sooner.

This month's survey is the last before the February results. Additional participants would be very helpful.

I just quickly looked through the responses, and saw none for the differential.

I am very dissapointed with the build quality, reliability, and overall feel of my NEW XF. Here are my problems:
-Paint imperfections from date of delivery noticed, no action taken on dealers part.
-Rims have curb rash, noted from date of delivery.
-Significant exhaust fumes in cabin, unsafe to drive my XF.
-Engine consumes oil, about 1 quart every 3-4 weeks
-White exhaust smoke when accelerating
-Tried to turn on the radio, smelled burning, turned out to be an electrical fire behind the dash.
-Apparently the sport shift mode involves the use of the window switch to shift either up or down, I've had better experiences with my daughters Cavalier
Also, various engine components have stickers on them reading "made in Mexico". I didn't pay 50k + to have some ape build my car.
Also, the supercharged v8 is not as powerful as say a v6 Cadillac or any competing v6 from Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes, etc. Yesterday, I floored the throttle from a light with the intent of burning by a CTS, only to feel a dismal performance on the Jaguars part as the CTS BLAZED past me. Since when does a 263hp v6 destroy a v8? I was with friends at the time, and they were laughing at me as the Cadillac passed by. It was very embarrassing. I also drove my fathers IS350 which is considerably more powerful than this "supercharged" v8. Since when does a supercharger look like an eggbeater hastily stretched over the intake pipe.
I felt more confident on the onramp in my daughters Cavalier (a vehicle which I THOROUGHLY hate, I might add), at least it didn't feel like the backend was going to give out.
I am truly proud of Jaguar as this proves to be their FINEST machine yet, unfortunately it leaves me with a black eye (service manager punched me in the face), and out of $50k. The brake pedal was completely unresponsive, and the gears WOULD NOT engage when shifting from park to drive. Reverse was the same thing as neutral. Talk about Chrysler and their transmission issues, at least in a Chrysler your lungs don't collapse due to a connecting rod flying out of the block and puncturing your lungs.
If anybody can help me with this situation please PM me.[:@]

Even after reading your misplaced insults, I would offer you advice if I had any to give. I won't likely be touching an XF for another five years, and I hope some of them will still be on the road. Judging by your review, I guess I won't have anything to worry about...they might all be scrapped by then. Once again, sorry to read your tale.
