Default Leaking Coolant

Hey people I'm looking for some assistance my car has been leaking antifreeze from literally three different places which I've been able to fix in my garage with help from this forum. I'm hoping this is the last place it leaks so can anyone help me identify this part and if it something that I should bring to the experts to fix or replace. I just have no idea what the name of the part is, where it leads to, best way to stop the leak etc. From what I could see the leak is right around where the arrows are pointing but there could be another leak on the same piece. Here are a few pics the arrows are pointing to the seal. Thanks in advance

If you have any question about the location of the leak, use a cooling system pressure tester. They are like $40, or you can often rent them for free at the auto part store.

It lets you pump up the system to see/hear the leak better without the engine running and everything scalding hot. You can also get the pressure up higher than waiting for the engine to do it.

You're welcome. This is the one I bought, and it's been a lifesaver on a couple of my older cars. I haven't needed it on the Jag.

Thanks again. Im going to bring it to the dealer today to get the piece identified then see if its a short fix or should I just turn the car over for them. I have some jaguar coupons that I plan on using to cover the costs hopefully the job is under 1200

I would also ask the question as to why the car has been leaking from three different locations. That doesn't sound like a coincidence. Would recommend checking the level of antifreeze - is it possible that it was filled with water rather than antifreeze and the water has frozen in the cold, damaging some of the seals?

I was in a car accident and it seemed to start leaking right after that. The auto repair shop said the accident wasn't the cause of the leak and tried charging me extra 700 to replace water pump. I replaced it myself, which I later found out it wasn't the problem. Then there was a hard plastic hose that I noticed was broken and I replaced that part as well. Now I have a new leak along the seal from the picture above. There hasn't been any water that has been put in the car. I have antifreeze in the car and I just used my other car to drive around. I'm going to drop it off today at the dealer.

Agreed - sounds like dealer needs to take a look. Replacing the water pump may not have been a bad thing - unclear from your post what car you have, but a lot of the earlier 2010/11 (and maybe later?) cars develop leaking water pumps that fail (mine only did about 25,000 miles) - so you may have just saved yourself an issue down the line.
Good luck - hope you get it all back healthy again!

I got my baby back rather quickly. The part I mentioned above was leaking and got replaced, water pump was good to go. I also got a tuneup and the grand total was $1280. My baby is back to purring again
