Has anyone replaced the License plate lights with a LED super white bulbs XF? If so, how do you take off the plastic cover? I try to take it off, but it won’t come off.
Is there special way to remove it? Is there any screws or clips that I need loosen up.
Thanks.

Hello Kevinsuk
Its not hard to do, I replaced mines when I did my front headlights.
1.Open your trunk, it's easyer to work on that way.
2. Take a small edged screwdriver (I used my wifes repair kit for her glass) and slowly pry out the whole light housing. There should be a little hole besides the plate light. Its a one piece unit, not just a cover. Its held in place by metal tabs/springs.
3. Slowly pry it out. The unit will bop out.
4. Turn harness clock wise to detach
5. The bulb should come out still attached to wiring seat.
6. Change the bulb.. With LED, you have to make sure that the positive side of the bulb sits in to the wedge seat on the positive side..
( before reinstalling the housing, turn on your parkers to make sure the bulb lights up. If not, turn the bulb around. You may also have to check and make sure the bulb will fit through the hole on the housing.
7. Screw seat back into housing and push housing back into fixture.
8. Do the same for the otherside and your done.
Hope this helps

The Bulbs I purchased where the JDM White Error free T10. You can get them at www.IJDMTOY.com. Go to license plate LED lights then scroll down to them. There easy to install and really give off a good light pattern.. IMO.
