Lug nut size

The factory lugnuts are crap. They have a chrome cap over the steel nut and over time corrosion makes the cap swell and then spin on the steel core.
You can use a small punch/chisel and carefully spilt the caps off the steel nut underneath.
The first thing I did on both my XFs was replace the lugnuts with high quality nuts.
The nuts are 12x1.5mm.
This is what you want:
Set 20 12mmx1.50 Chrome Shank Lug Nuts 3/4" Hex Fits Jaguar S-Type X-Type W6015J | eBay
Get some that are all metal, no chrome caps.
Sorry for your troubles.

Here is one way of removing those crappy chrome covers.
Chrome cap lugnut removal - Bing video
I just use a 1/2" cold chisel and cut just the end cap off then flair out the cap so you can use a small center punch to tap a small channel between the cap metal and the core steel nut to snap it lose.
You really have to take your time to keep from messing up the alloy wheels, but that is your only choice.
In the end, the steel core nut size will be 1 size smaller than the nut size with the cap on it. Something like 20MM socket (give or take a size).

what size is the stud on 2000 xj8 308 VDP is it metric or standard imperial this is what DPA sent back.
A seller answered your question, "will these fit my 2000 jaguar xj van den plas" about . DP-accessories answered:
"These will not be a good fit for your 2000 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas with factory aluminum wheels because a threading size of 1/2-20 is required. At this time, we do not have a recommended lug nut for your application."
