Default Lurking on Mercedes board

I've recently paid off my 12 XF Portfolio and i've been daydreaming about replacements. it'll either be a 15 F Type or a 14 or 15 Mercedes C63AMG. anyway, i've been lurking on the relevant board over at MBWorld and i will tell you this; i have never seen such a group of self-important pr*cks in my life. it is an unbelievable collection of people that you would never want to talk to. it's almost enough by itself for me to eliminate the C63 from consideration. can you IMAGINE what a bmw or porsche message board is like??

makes me grateful for this group. happy holidays.

the answer to most questions over there - purchase a STAR subscription so you can have access to manuals, etc. I found very little help there with the CLK430 cabriolet we had.

Thankful for the folks here

I have extensive experience with a 2013 C63 and I have to tell you, that is a fantastic car. It definitely leads with the engine, but there is nothing wrong with that. The one I drove had EuroCharged tune, but I don't really have a reference point, so it just felt very strong...and LOUD
Enjoy!

Why not consider a 14 or 15 XFR-S?

I'm a Porsche owner too, and can tell you most of the Porsche guys are pretty hands on with their cars. Especially the air cooled versions, but not so much on the current model. BUT BUTT ... there is the occasional super jackwagons that are web tough guys.

We share tips , since we usually have the same problems. There are a ton of DIY's that hep you keep the car going without going to the *******.

As for the C63 vs F-type..... F-type all day long. The c63 is a beast, but the interior is missing refinement. The jag has a much better look and presence.

as a current Benz owner I will tell you the MBworld.org is heaven compared to some of the Porsche BMW or Audi message boards out there. well im a CLS owner so the C class group could possible be quite annoying I mean C63 owners are pretty much M3 owners and we all know what M3/M4 owners are like...

depending on your budget I would get the new C63 W205 its newer (nicer interior) and a rocket with a V8TT Engine and with a tune and exhaust they will destroy 99% of the cars out there, used they are already in the $60's unless you want the 2 door then you will have to spend extra $$$

love my XF but just want something different. Back in december 2012 i had seen pictures of the coming F Type and drooled over it but didn't want to wait. the XF has been great though.

i definitely want the coupe but with the AMG i'm concerned about the new TT engine. it looks to be a beast, but i'm worried that such a high strung TT german engine will grenade in a few years and leave me penniless. considering the last gen NA 6.3, which appears to be pretty amazing itself. i guess the interior wasn't as good but i'd give that up for peace of mind. any thoughts on that?

This is pretty much my exact experience with porsche guys, Either pretty cool guys that know a lot about their cars or absolute self entitled morons that hate when brake dust gets on their new wheels

All I can say is an E63 wagon is a hell of a lot quicker than my '10 XFR...not entirely surprising but it became clear to me the other day after a stoplight.
