Default Mina Intake

For members who have the Mina intake on their 5.0sc, did you guys notice any difference in the throttle response or any performance difference at all ?

A few years ago I put a Twin Cities Performance intake (virtually identical to the Mina intake) on my 2010 XFR and it made zero difference to anything. It was a bear to fit and one of the silicone rubber intake tubes (I forget which side) kinked so much it was only half open, so I took it off and went back to stock, and again I noticed zero difference. I suspect the Mina intake would be the same.

I have the Mina intake on my 5.0L NA and I cannot tell any performance (HP) difference. It does seem to have improved throttle response at least enough for me to think it did.

The plusses are that it will certainly outlast another plastic version and it looks cool. The minuses are that it is harder now to change the air filters and there is a slight drone at idle. The drone might be a plus with a SC engine.
