I did something very similar to you.
I traded in a 1 year old, 11K mile Mitsu Outlander Sport for my CPO 10 XF.
Is was such a dog, I could not live with it any longer. I also desided to sell my 92 Galant VR4 (heavily modified, 450hp rocket) so I wanted something that would keep me happy for the next 3 years.
Nice car, I wish I would have got an 11 to take advantage of the free maintenance program.

I went sc version for only 2 reasons. I can upgrade the pulleys and with a ecu tune I can get more power later if necessary,
And the sc model gets the same suspension as the "R" models
I agree with ur wife lol, if ur changing a new car . Must be worth it and I say u did a good job.
I got the black on red from Carlsbad , so far the only regret is. Maybe I should've tried out that white one , one more time lol
Btw I'm going to post a group buy soon, to see if anyone else wants to get some 2012 xf parts

Lol. You found another one with red interior? I was looking at an sc but decided this was plenty of power and I hate black cars, I had a black s4 and a black truck and they are always dirty and showing swirl marks, look so good when theyre clean but get dirty so quick.
Also the guy who traded this car back in got an Aston after and took great care of this, did look or smell used.

The Volt isn't a car, its a bad joke. If the government didn't legislate electric cars there wouldn't be any. If electricity used to charge electric cars were to be subject to the same fuel tax as motor fuels the electric car wouldn't make any sense from any perspective.
The biggest boondoggle with electric cars is they simply move pollution and CO2 production from the tailpipe to the powerplant smokestack.
Buy a supercharged jag and drive the wheels off it, the federal highway repair fund needs the money!

In terms of trading things... I did something maybe even more whacky:
I traded a 3 month old, loaded, new 2013 BMW 535 (Can anyone say "negative equity"?) on a used '12 XF Portfolio
![Big Grin](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I had been considering leasing a pretty lean-trimmed 2013 XF S/C, but a couple of things swayed me to the used '12 oddly enough. First time in few years I felt like I am in something I can live with for more than a couple of years.
The only thing I really miss about my 535 is the M steering wheel... So, I'm thinking of buying one of those Arden sport steering wheels for the Jag to get a little more of that grippy feel

Anyway... I digress... again, nice white/red XF.

That's steering wheel is very nice! Might be worse then me lol. The jag is an amazing car and I think much nicer then the 5 in many ways! Honestly, I assume with the money we all make and as hard as we work. It's worth walking up to a car you love and say, damn that's my car!
Before I say anything else... to the OP... love that red interior on that white XF. Some cars don't pull off the red interior well, but in your pictures, it looks amazing.

. This after spending months driving everything under the sun before the BMW (I had just come off a lease for a 2010 535) but didn't consider Jag b/c I was stuck on AWD. Then when I found they were offering AWD on 2013's, I went over to the Jag dealer and ended up falling in love with this Ebony w/ London Tan interior '12 portfolio. Even though it was RWD, didn't have NEAR the options my BMW had, I still had to have it... even compared with the XJ's a I drove (not that that is an apples to apples comparison, the XJ was jus ttoo big for my tastes).

Fortunately, I cancelled my order of an BMW 550ix before buying the Jag. There are many things that BMW does well, but the XF's, in my opinion, drive better than the 5 series, particularly the RWD as BMW's steering is electronic and the feel is just not there. Maybe the '13s have improved. Jag should get the feel of the interior controls up to par with BMW's. A few tweaks also in the tech department and not sure why anyone we get the 5 over the XF. Obviously these minor improvements weren't needed to get me into the Jag.

yup, one of the difference i was stating between BMW and Jags is
the Jag and the driver sort of become 1.. I know sounds tacky but when you push the car.. you'll know what I'm talking about. The Jag's potential is underrated in my opinion. My Jag so far has been out driving my previous e9x M3 on performance.. yeah believe it or not.
And I still havn't seen it's full potential, as when I thought I pushed it's limits it goes a little bit more, and the time after.. a little bit more than previous.. compared to my M3 I know exactly how far to take it. the Jag sort of evolves around my driving , I'm assuming it's the difference in suspension and the fancy technology the car offers in the model I have.
After this XF I am def a fan, XFR-S will be the next one I aim for in 3-4 years once I'm done with payments on my current one. Sound's nuts to go 100k for a xf but with all they throw in, it's a bargain.. I really wouldn't need to modify it to fit my needs, hell it even comes with forged light weight wheels !
