Default My confusion re 12 XF/XFR

Confusion exists regarding 2012 XF I'm considering.
It has the supercharged hood yet no supercharged badging nor quad exhausts. 19" wheels. Am I missing something here. It appears to be selling as a Portfolio. ..it is loaded to the hilt but I'm confused as to its actual pedigree. Can anyone illuminate the issue.
Thanks in advance.

A link to the ad or a picture of the car or something to go off of would help.

Looks like a complete XFR body kit to me, rear and front bumpers look like XFR pieces.

If it was truly a SC Or R it would have quad exhausts.

That's certainly strange. You struggle to get most of the 19 inch wheels on the large front brake calipers of the SC models, which also suggests this may not be SC. Does it have a supercharger under the hood??

On my 2010 SC model it actually has the word 'Supercharged' on the speedo - that would be an expensive change, so you could look and see on this one.

Do you have the VIN? Should be relatively easy to find out its true pedegree from that. My guess is it had an accident and needed a new hood, and someone decided to go for the sporting look...

Very strange indeed. I tend to concur with your suspicions baring any reasonable explanation.
No supercharged on speedo nor badging..

Vin decoder shows it as XF Trim Supercharged but Portfolios and Supercharged models have the same designation in Vin decoder. The investigation continues.

It's definitely a normal xf with a sport package, and s/c hood.

the sport package includes:
Piano Black Veneer Interior Trim; Aerodynamic Pack; Softgrain Perforated Leather Surfaced Sport Bucket Seats; Aquila Alloy Wheels REQUIRES: Warm Ivory/Charcoal -OR- Warm Charcoal -OR- Warm London Tan/Charcoal -OR- Warm Red/Charcoal -OR- Warm Barley/Charcoal

Excellent info. It definitely has all components you mention of the sport package. However could you order an SC hood or was that added/replaced?

Excellent info. It has all the components of the sport package. Not thrilled with the red/Charcoal interior but so be it.
Could have the SC hood have been ordered at purchase or was it later added?

That's a XF 3.0 SC with the Sport package and those wheels are 20" Hydras, not 19s.

Normal production car, go for it.

I appreciate your response but the wheels are 19 and it's a 5.0 engine.
