Default Navteq 2013-2014 Problem

Just got the 2013-2014 Navteq discs. It took a long time to load. Initially, it said "please wait....loading data". After touching the screen, it went grey. Even after 30 minute, the Nav screen did not come back/up.

Eventually a comment came up to say that an update was needed: I have xxxx097; it needed xxxx100. It suggested to take out the disc to stop the update. There was a "Continue" button on the screen; I pressed it, and the Nav button went grey.

Has anyone had this problem? Why would this latest update that was just released (last month or two) need an update already? I reached out to Navteq already; waiting for a response from them too.

This may be a first for this forum, but I found the answer....patience.

Yesterday, the Navigation button was grayed out. When I started the car today, the bar was lite up. I selected it, and the Navigation system was updated.

In the end, the discs took over 30 minutes to download the data. Then, they went through some sort of additional update on their own, which greyed out the Nav button; I'm not sure how long this final update process really took.

Bottomline: this process was long. Hope this helps someone else.
