Default Need dashboard part info

My dash leather seems to be in early stages of coming unglued...but to top that off I have the two vent pieces close to the windshield that’s either broken or warped. Can’t really tell as I am not the first owner and I just picked it up a couple of days ago. How do these pieces usually attach? Thanks for help in advance.

Maybe more difficult to provide that information. Are there good websites I can look up Jaguar parts in detail?

I don't know how they're attached,
but Right Hand in Navy is part number C2Z9072JMN, Charcoal is C2Z9072LEG
Left Hand in Navy is C2Z9073JMN, Charcoal is C2Z9073LEG
( not changed from 2009-2015 if you're looking for them at a breakers. )

Perhaps if you post a picture of the underside of them someone might recognise clips (or broken off remains of them ) for how they fit.

excellent! I’ve looked those parts number and I the results I’ve found had zero pictures. But I can probably confirm with jag. I ended up taking photos but I don’t know what could be preventing them from attaching to the dash. There’s some leather on the end of the vents and I’m wondering if it’s custom and preventing them from clipping on.

That trim looks very much like it should have hooks that go under the front edge of the dash top cover, looks like they are broken off where I've put the green scribbles below.

So it seems you need to move the dash top cover towards the back of the car to get the new trims in place without breaking them. Probably involves removing the instrument binnacle, "spear" trim with hazard warning button etc, and A-pillar trims, etc to get at the bolts for the top panel, and leave it room to move.

Thanks for that info. I’ll source some new ones and install them. Next issue is my leather is starting to bubble on the dash. 🥲

I had the same problem when I swapped out my dashboard and repaired them by using small squares of adhesive foam pads close to wherever the original clips were located. I made sure that the adhesive foam pads were rated for high temperatures. Once they are applied, I just carefully pushed the vents back down into position. That was a couple of years ago and they haven't moved since. I also gave the vents a couple of coats of paint from a can to protect them from further sun damage deterioration.

I posted photos of the procedure on one of the other dash threads here somewhere.
