Ace Alloy Convex Matte Black/Machined 20x8.5 20x10 Staggered Wheels
Those Convex are on your 2009 XF S/C?? I was told they wouldn't fit...

Is there a difference in wheel fitment between 2009 and 2010 XF S/C??

I've tried to search the rest of the forums about this and can't seem to find much information. Sorry for the hassle.

Judging by the pic, Thor82 has the 355 mm front brakes and not the 380 mm front brakes fitted to the 2010 SC and 2009 onwards XFR.
Beside the fact that they look different, the easiest way to tell which you have is to whip a front wheel off and have a look down the side of the caliper, the size is stamped into it.
Wheels that clear the 355 mm calipers may not clear the 380 mm calipers.

These fit perfect on my 2009. I actually bought them off another member that had them fitted to his 2011 XF 5.0. He said he also test fit them on his 2015 XF Supercharged and they cleared the bigger brakes as well.
This is size and offsets:
Front: 20"X8.5" +40mm ET
Rear: 20"X10" +45mm ET

Thanks for that information. After contacting ACE directly, it was cleared up for me. I am purchasing the ACE Convex 20" in Hypersilver tomorrow from Wheel Plus USA.

I had tried to purchase these in 19 inch for winter wheels and went 3 rounds of delivery before they came to the realize they just wouldn't fit. I too had contacted Ace. Just make sure they guarantee the fit, so you don't have to pay for returns. I would expect the 20's to fit based on other posts here. The first time I was sent the wrong wheel style altogether. It wasn't Wheels Plus though. Post some photos when you are set.

Want to order today, but keep looking at the different finishes and can't decide!

Need expert opinions...Go!

These would by on my black XF S/C. No external mods have been done other than tinted windows.

Well you can see previously in the thread what the black ones look like as those are the same as my car. I hope you're not in Milwaukee if you choose those! Haha

Nope! Chicago

I like the look of your wheels. I'm just debating since I still have the chrome trim around the windows, rear, etc.

I'm afraid it would not contrast well..

If you like the chrome and the black, why did you decide against the ones Matte with the machined face?

I typically don't like wheels with the two tone spoke style. I think they look a bit tacky.

I'd go with the gunmetal ones and get red center caps and paint the calipers to match. IMHO, I HATE flat black wheels and not a huge fan of gloss black wheels on black cars unless there is a wider lip and it's polished (Sorry Thor). Otherwise, everything blends together and you might have well just bought some steel rims and left the hubcaps off Robocop style.

Here is a photo of a friend's with the gunmetal wheels.

Close up of wheels

Hope that helps. But remember, we don't have to like them...YOU DO

Haha no worries! I hate chrome. I think it looks extremely tacky, but some people love it. So to each their own.

I'm glad we can agree to disagree. Anything that is of a subjective nature will always have some that are on each side of the debate. That's what forums are for.

Now when people argue over objective things, that's when it gets weird

Ended up going with the hyper silver. I think it'll match best with the existing trim on the car. Will post pictures as soon as they come in and get them put on.

Thanks all for the help!

Thor, did you plastidip your trim pieces black or did you have them vinyl wrapped. I'm thinking of switching up to all black wheels but if I did would want to black out the grille and at least the window trim if not all the chrome.

Rod,
I PlastiDipped it all. It is much easier than vinyl wrapping the trim pieces. I did that on my Cadillac and it was a pain in the ***. Hell, if you wanted to you could just PlastiDip those rims and the trim. I love white cars on black rims.

I got my carbon fiber front splitters from Mina through a guy off of here. They are subtle, but add a little more of an aggressive look. I just dipped my grill. I did a gloss finish on the inner portion and then did matte black for the surround. It's made it through the Wisco winter without a problem. I know others have been very happy with their black pack grills from Mina though.

Thor,
Did you remove everything or just mask it off real good? I haven't worked with plasitdip at all just seen youtube videos. I'm really in a dilemma here. I love the way my car looks at night with the wheels but during the day the chrome lip, which I initially went with to match the window trim, makes the wheels look smaller which I know a full face wheel would look much larger. Struggling with just being content but the fact is I get bored easily and after having this same look for the last 2 yrs +, I'm ready to try something different. Only problem with that is, I order a new set of wheels, put em on and then don't think it looks as good as it does now. Guess I could always just swap back as I'm planning to just put these on my fiancés black '11 XF. Ahhhhhhhhh decisions...lol.
