O2 Sensors...

O2 Sensors...
So I bought a certified Used 2013 3.0 All wheel drive XF on Saturday the 16. It has the sport package and some nice options and just over 5,000 miles on the clock. I drove it some on Saturday and about 3 hours into ownership I get a service engine light... I figured it was the gas cap not on tight enough when the dealer filled it with fuel. Called the dealer to let them know and said I would bring it in on Monday.
So yesterday I take it to the dealership, and my dealer commented it might be O2 Sensors, and said Gas Cap... I was hoping gas cap at least. Well they looked it over and came to tell me I have one of the 6 O2 sensors was bad and needed to be ordered to be replaced.
Don't get me wrong I am not complaining, more just curious, how many on here have had failed O2 sensors? I had a 2003 XJ8 with over 100k on the clock with original O2 Sensors and I have had 2 Land rovers with way over 100k on the clock with original O2 sensors as well as 2 mini coopers in the last few years... what gives? Did they buy some cheap O2 sensors maybe a bad batch. The thing that bothered me the most was the dealer suggested it almost instantly but the service manager said they have only replaced 3 or 4 of them.
At least I didn't buy the Used Maserati I was looking at... it was out of warranty and O2 sensors for it are not even close to easy to replace or cheap.

My 09 XF NA is at the dealer now having an O2 sensor replaced. I have about 60,000 miles on it and it is starting to reflect just about every common problem the 09's have - wrinkled dash near center speaker replaced, water pump replaced, transmission coolant lines replaced and now the O2 sensor(s). . . . but I still love the car.

A trans coolant line issue was posted by another owner. What was the problem? Was there a leak?

I wasn't able to find any TSB for it, but it's looking like it may have been a bad batch of them, I'd really just rather have them replace all of them. I guess if the light comes on after this fix I'll insist that they replace all of them, I'm not going to keep going back to replace them one by one.

O2 Sensor information
Hello, I'm fairly new to this forum, but I can bring some information as I work on all types of vehicles as a hobby and also a owner of a 2013 3.0 AWD. My check engine light came on as well around 7k miles. I ran the code and it stated that sensor 3 bank 2 heater is bad code p0162. to make a long story short I attached an interesting document.
