Default OBDII and NO VIN

Hey Tech's
Shouldn't the OBDII Reader report my VIN number. I tryed two different readers and neither one will read the VIN number. Is this normal? Something wrong with my ECU?
Do I need to go to the dealer for a re-flash of some sort?

Any help is greatly appreciated....

It'll be available from the PCM but sounds like your tool doesn't support it. As you can get it from the physical car I'm a little puzzled why you care...
