Default Options for front and rear pads, 2010 xf supercharged?

The car now has a little over 50k miles on it and I just got the Low Brake Pad warning.
Was wondering what does everyone use for replacement pads? I am usually comfortable doing disc brake pads at the house.
I am aware that you need to twist the piston back into the calipers but are there any other little gotchas that I have to look out for or secondary parts that need to be replaced?

thanks everyone.
