Oxygen Sensor Location and Part #

Oxygen Sensor Location and Part #
A few months ago, my 2014 XF 3.0 AWD had the check engine light come on and I found a P0062 code which indicated a "HO2S Heater Control Circuit" issue and a further description about a problem with the O2 sensor bank 2, sensor 3. I cleared it to see if it would come back and it didnt until yesterday. Now its a recurring error on startup.
I'm now out of warranty and I've changed O2 sensors in other cars, so I did some investigating and am coming up with confusing and conflicting information. I am hoping this group can help with my 2 questions:
1) What is the correct part number for this particular sensor (bank 2, sensor 3)? Looking on jaguarparts.com shows a "lwr oxygen sensor" part number C2D23702. Jaguar Palm Beach on the other hand shows C2D27350 (with an alternate number of C2D54165). Other posts on the internet gave different numbers as well. Even more confusing, RockAuto shows downstream sensors (I assume sensor 3 would be "downstream") with different part numbers for left sensor vs. right sensor (e.g. Bosh 16042 and Bosh 16043). But RockAuto also shows a downstream sensor from Walker which fits left OR right side (Walker 250241138). Furthermore, some say this car has only 2 sensors per side (4 total) while others say 3 per side (6 total). RockAuto shows Bosh Upstream and Downstream sensors (suggesting 4 total), but also shows Walker Upstream, Center, and Downstream sensors (suggesting 6 total).... Grrrrrr........ This shouldn't be so difficult.
2) Is this a fairly easy DIY project on this car? Where exactly is sensor 3 and is it easy to access under the car? Do I need to remove belly pans? or should I just take it to the dealer?
Any experience or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

This thread on the F-Type forum and especially post #7 might be some help: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...=oxygen+sensor
The F-Type V6 is the same engine as yours.

Thank you, OzXFR. That thread was helpful.
After more reading / research I think I am getting it sorted out. Some of the V6s appear to require different sensors for left vs. right (such as the example in the post you pointed me to) while others don't. It also appears that some sensor manufacturers may designate different parts for left vs. right while others don't for the same application. I believe my 2014 3.0L AWD has 3 sensors on each bank and each pair of sensors is interchangeable (at least if going with Denso sensors). The part finder on Denso's website shows the following for my car:
Also, I think I found the location of sensor 3 and it is easily accessible without removing belly pans! It's located mid-car where the two exhaust pipes converge on the top of the pipes.

Final update...
The swap out of the sensor was a piece of cake. For these particular sensors, a regular wrench works better than a dedicated O2 sensor socket adapter.
Also, the Denso I purchased worked perfectly on Bank 2; however, it would NOT work for Bank 1. Once i removed the cover over the connectors, I noticed that the connectors on the original sensors were different colors (left vs right). Also, I could see the OEM sensors were Bosch. Recall that in my first post I said that Bosch was one of the vendors giving different part numbers for Left vs Right bank, but Denso gave the same part for both Left and Right. So I tried this Denso plug into both the Left and Right sockets and it ONLY fits into the Left (bank 2). So in summary, this Denso part works in the Bank 2 / Left sensor 3 position, but not the Bank 1 / Right position.
