Default Pair mobile with jaguar xf 2010

Hi there,
I am sorry if this question has already been asked before, you have searched for it but I have not found any information.

I just bought a second hand Jaguar XF 3.0 TD V6 Premium Luxury 4dr. I have paired my mobile (Iphone) without problems. However, when I play music from Spotify or other similar software on the mobile, I can't sync it so it can be heard in the car.
Anyone know if it is possible to do what I am trying?
Thanks,
JM

Congrats on the new car!

The 2010 in car system can pair with a phone for phone calls but not for streaming audio. So you need to add a second BT receiver for streaming

If you have a 30 pin iPod connector in the center armrest then you can get a Bovee Tune2Air device that plugs into it and pairs to the phone to stream music. About $80. And it displays track name from Spotify on the car screen and lets you use track fwd / back controls etc
If not then you might just have the 3.5mm headphone jack. In that case you need a BT receiver that plugs into that. Much cheaper but no controls from the car audio system

hi I have the same car, you cant Bluetooth spotify or any mobile service except phone instead you use the auxiliary in the storage box in the arm rest, a cable costs about £1 on ebay, but from experience I would also connect your phone to the charger if streaming music as well

I have spent all day trying to get my 2010 Jag XK to sync with Bovee and my iPhone 13... bummer.... no go.

My phone thinks it's connected, my music, in my iPhone library is playing (w/out sound). Bovee thinks it's connected, it says Bovee on XM station that is playing (again, no sound through the car Audio). Jag even thinks it's connected but says "paused" on TR 1 and no sound on the car.

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks, D

Possibly a bad bluetooth module. Located under the left front seat.
