Default Park Assist Malfunction

Hey, new to Jaguar & really diggin' my new ride. Only thing is, when I started the car a few days ago I heard a beep for about three seconds & I got a message on the screen saying that "Park Assist is unavailable & I should consult a Jaguar Dealer" & it's been doing this since. Has anyone else had this issue & if so is there anything I can do to resolve this issue without putting it in the shop? All & any answers will be greatly appreciated. I think it's a sensor malfunction but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Just had the exact same thing happen after driving through a torrential downpour yesterday. I'm hoping once everything dries out it'll sort itself but maybe that's just wishful thinking. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'd be curious to know what the outcome was.

You need to check wiring in front and rear bumpers, it it's OK, then it's sensor. Also if you have Rear View Camera - check the wiring in rubber housing between luggage and trunk.

Everything has been working properly now the car had a chance to dry out. It's currently out in the pouring rain so I shall see if it reappears.

I am having a similar issue, but with a slight variation. While driving to work this morning on a two lane road at 50 mph and no surrounding traffic, I received the long warning tone, then my display says "Cameras Not Available. Contact your dealer."
The display clears the message after about 2-3 seconds and everything returns to normal. Anyone have any clue what causes this error message?

Default Bumping for help

yes I know its an old thread but comes closest to my issue. I had intermittent parkign aid issue but it finally weet. Started having long beep tone and "parking aid: camera not aviailable message"

took it to the dealer diagnosed as center left (drivers side LHD ) sensor bad Cost me 125 to hear that but the quote of 875 was outrageous.

I kept drving and found a set of used sensors tr car-part.com all labeled and tagged where they came from including poisition. (nice for a junk yard) guy was nice got the set for 50 bucks

I waited till summer and wanted to add a gloss black grill so figured kill 2 birds.

Got the grill (nice piece from ebay for 15 bucks including shipping) got into pulling the bumper with the help of you-tube and guess what, pulled it in under an hour in 95 degree 95 humidity weather in blazing sun (why 875? I do not know)

Went to replace the sensor and saw a corroded and broken wire in the harness just after the sensor the dealer diagnosed. Off to get a harness and after 60 buck installed it, kept the original sensor and connected it up to test

well now no beep put still says camera unavailable. i swapped the suspected and one with a used one and still the same.

Any thought if the bad wire could have caused a problem in the system with the bad wire? Or a separate issue?. The beep is gone doe that mean the sensors are ok?
