Park Brake Fault on 2013 X250
So my friend's X250 recently had a service that required removing the battery, and ultimately ended up with us having to reprogram the keys as well as the KVM, IPC and BCM, in order to reset the immobilizer and get it driving again. However, throughout the entire process, "PARK BRAKE FAULT" has been showing on the panel and we had hoped we could clear that once everything else was resolved, but it didn't go away, and indeed, the parking brake would not activate. Well, today we tried everything we could think of with no avail. The parking brake was working fine before this entirely unrelated service. We used SDD to release the cable tension to the service position and then cycled the ignition on and off, which got the parking brake to activate and deactivate normally... until we cycled the ignition again. Then the parking brake wouldn't work again. Regardless of it working or not, that error never clears. We even tried re-configuring the PBM as if it were a new module, still no luck (we did this after doing that with the BCM just in case that would cause a communication issue). My friend is gonna drive it around this week to see if maybe the error will clear on its own, as it doesn't seem to be from an actual fault with the actuator, motor, or the PBM, since we CAN get it to apply and release the parking brake. Any advice here would be helpful though, in case it persists.

I should note that one thing we didn't try was doing the tension release, cycling the ignition off and then starting the car, and then proceed to drive around and apply and release the parking brake at various stop signs and such. Just grasping at straws to get the car to recognize that the parking brake does actually function if it would stop preventing it from doing so.
